HYDRANGEA - ( Hi'-dran-gee-uh ) Is known by many herbalists, as an old friend, trusted and tried, for the kidneys and bladder. Hydrangea also cares for the ureters (u'reet-ers), two tubes, one from each kidney, connecting the kidneys to the bladder. Excess fluid build up, known as dropsy, or as it is more modernly called, edema (ed'-deem-muh), is relieved by Hydrangea root.* Think of Hydrangea for lower back pain, when due to kidney distress, including inflamed kidney tissue. Hydrangea has earned its reputation of being a friend in need when gravel or stones are being passed, to ease the passage and relieve the agony.* If this be the case then take 1 Tbl., at once, when in distress and repeat as needed. (combines well with Marshmallow Root, SEE: Marshmallow Root). If prone to stones and prevention of stones is a concern, then a maintenance amount of 40 drops per day is a good idea.* DOSE:40 drops 3 times per day and as given above. To gradually dissolve stones, 1 teaspoon full 3 times per day with a full glass of mineral or other trusted water.
